Rev. Dr. Scottie J. Stamper serves as a counselor and Director of Adult Spiritual Formation at Christ Episcopal Church in Charlotte. She partners with the Counseling Center at Charlotte to offer faith-based counseling that helps individuals deepen their spiritual well-being while navigating life’s transitions.

Scottie brings a unique blend of pastoral wisdom and academic expertise to her work with clients. She has served as a Wellness Advocate for Duke University’s Clergy Health Initiative, coaching United Methodist pastors throughout North Carolina, and has led teams in leadership and organizational development. Her approach to counseling integrates spiritual formation, education, and emotional healing to support the whole person — mind, body, and spirit.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in music education and performance, a master’s degree in divinity and Christian education, and a doctorate in Educational Leadership from Columbia Theological Seminary, which she completed in 2016. She has earned graduate certificates in gerontology and education/instruction systems technology and is currently completing a master’s degree in counseling.

Dr. Stamper works with clients on issues such as spiritual identity, life transitions, grief, stress management, and leadership development. She strives to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where individuals can explore their faith, find balance, and move toward wholeness.

Her commitment is to help each person discover what is most meaningful and life-giving, so they can live with clarity and purpose. It is her privilege to walk alongside clients as they seek healing and renewal.
